The Thousand Stars Foundation, in cooperation with Sukkasart Institute of the Healing Arts would like to invite you to join a special full moon retreat to commemorate the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana.

Another purpose of this retreat is to create positive energy for the Tara Great Stupa, a sacred structure dedicated to peace and harmony, to be constructed at Khadiravana Center.

The retreat will go on all night in the mantra stupa of clear light allowing us time to reflect on our inner being and to recite the mantra of love, as a way to cultivate compassion in our heart.

The merit from this group retreat will bring inner peace and happiness, prosperity in our life, and peace and harmony in the world. It is also a great way to purify our body, speech and mind.

Khadiravana is a Tibetan retreat center located on Hua-Hin Palau road, Nongplub district, Hua-Hin. Surrounded by mountains, lakes and forest, the center is an ideal place for meditation and for us to experience the beauty of nature.

6.45-7.15am Great “Sang” offering for auspiciousness in our life

Dr. Tsedor Nyarongsha of the Nyarongsha Medical Institute, Lhasa is coming to Bangkok to see patients on 25-27 April 2009. Interested persons can have their body checked up for good health during these dates from 10 am to 6 pm. Tibetan medicine is well known for purity and efficiency in treating various illnesses. Pandara Key Concepts

*Preserve Tibetan and Himalayan ancient wisdom and adapt it to the modern world

*Cultivate compassion in everyday living (e.g., through the teachings on Tara & Avalokiteshvara, anger elimination workshop, meditation on loving kindness and compassion, etc.)

*Practice on inner awakening based on Dzogchen perspective

*Translate classic texts on Mahayana Buddhism into Thai & English

*Conduct educational activities to bridge the various traditions of Buddhism and to promote understanding in other spiritual traditions (conferences on body and mind, happiness, mind and life, science and Buddhism, death and dying).

*Do charity work both in Thailand and Tibetan areas in China (support children, nuns and retreatants)

*Preserve environment (plant trees, do organic farming, etc.)

*Reach out to marginalized groups in society (patients, prisoners, etc.)

All the work is based on these principles with the objectives to promote peace and love in society (to make people become happier persons, no matter what they call themselves) and to promote better understanding of Vajrayana Buddhism in Thailand.
