Serindia is happy to invite you to celebrate the launch and sale of "Kathmandu Valley Style", a long-awaited book on the beautiful homes the Kathmandu Valley featuring their styles, interiors, and innovative adaptation of Nepal's centuries-old architecture. Most homes are photographed exclusively here for the first time. The book captures them at the right moment in the changing times of Nepal, celebrating the loving spirits of the owners, their histories, creativity, and perseverance. Some homes have now ceased to exist.

From Nepal we are grateful to have authors Lisa Choegyal and Gautam SJB Rana, who will be present at the event.

The launch is accompanied by an exhibition "Home Styles of the Kathmandu Valley", which runs from the launch evening until November 13.

Along with the event, the Thousand Stars Foundation presents "the Khadiravana Thai Center for Himalayan Studies," Hua-Hin, a new meditation retreat center and an institute for learning the cultures of Tibet and the Himalayas.

Launch Date/Time: November 7, 2008, 6:30pm.

Book will be for sale at the launch for the first time. Part of the proceeds at the event to benefit the Khadiravana Thai Center for Himalayan Studies, Hua-Hin.

Venue: Siam Paragon, 3rd floor, near True Café and Motorola store, toward the main Atrium.

มูลนิธิพันดาราขอเชิญผู้สนใจทุกท่านเข้าร่วมงานเปิดตัวหนังสือใหม่ของสำนักพิมพ์เซรินเดีย "สไตล์หุบเขากาฏมัณฑุ" ซึ่ง นำเสนอภาพบ้าน สถาปัตยกรรมโบราณและสมัยใหม่ และการตกแต่งสวยๆจากกาฏมัณฑุ เนปาล พร้อมกับพบกับผู้แต่ง คุณลิซ่า เชอเกียและคุณโกตัม รานา จะมีนิทรรศการภาพถ่ายจากหนังสือเล่มนี้ซึ่งจะแสดงเป็นครั้งแรกที่งาน

งานเปิดตัวเริ่มวันที่ 7 พฤศจิกายน เวลา 18.30 น. นิทรรศการมีถึงวันที่ 13 พฤศจิกายน ที่ชั้น 3 ข้างร้านกาแฟทรู ห้างสรรพสินค้าสยาม พารากอน

พร้อมนี้ มูลนิธิพันดาราจะเปิดตัว "ศูนย์หิมาลัยศึกษาขทิรวันแห่งประเทศไทย" อ. หัวหิน จ. ประจวบฯ ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์สมาธิภาวนา (ขทิรวันธรรมาศรม) และแหล่งเรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมของทิเบตและหิมาลัย
